Grown as free-standing specimens, close to the ground, the dome-shaped topiary offers all the architectural benefits of the ball-shape, yet without demanding quite so much attention. Left to its own devices, this is the natural development of the rounded shrub when only modest control is applied, so is an attractive prospect for the busy gardener or the beginner.

Plant Species

Box would be our recommended species for smaller domes, although Bay and Yew can also be considered where space allows, as these lend themselves better to larger specimens.
